When I was over in the U.K. in July, I had the opportunity to spend a few hours at their production studio and to hear Robert G. Slade read a section of the novel. He was wonderful and I was impressed with the amount of research he did to take on the role of Edgar Allan Poe. I was delighted that Karen Cass came in to read the letters written by Elizabeth Arnold, Poe's grandmother, as I really felt they needed a female voice.
